Mainship 35 convertible

The Mainship 35 Convertible (called the Mediterranean 35 Cockpit until 1992) is a modern family cruising sedan with one of the largest interior layouts in her class. The clean profile of the Mainship 35 speaks for itself—European, streamlined, and very distinctive. Built on a solid glass hull with a shallow deadrise aft, the sleek styling gives the appearance of a bigger boat. The original single-stateroom floorplan was replaced with a two-stateroom dinette layout in 1992, when the boat was restyled. Further updates for 1992 included white windshield frames (replacing the earlier black frames), a bigger flybridge with additional seating and new interior colors. There are few 35-foot boats with two staterooms and a dinette, and Mainship even manages a roomy salon—very impressive. The cockpit is small with a transom door, engine compartment hatches and molded-in bridge steps. N

ote the single-piece Euro-style bow rails and step-down window styling. Standard 454-cid Crusader gas engines will cruise the Mainship 35 at 17-18 knots with a top speed of around 28 knots.
