Mainship
34 II
With her trawler-style profile, seakindly hull and attractive interior, the Mainship 34 II is a good all-around family cruiser with a practical layout to go with her superb economy. Shes built on the same easily driven semi-displacement hull used in the production of the original Mainship 34. Inside, the single-stateroom floorplan in arranged with the galley down. The large head comes with a separate stall shower, and V-berths are forward. A lower helm was standard, and theres a pass-though serving counter from the galley below. This is basically the same layout used in the Mainship 34, but the salon is smaller in order to provide for the larger cockpit. Additional features include a roomy engine compartment, wide sidedecks, full wrap around cabin windows, foredeck mast and teak interior trim. The flybridge is quite small with bench seating for two. Never a big seller, a single turbocharged 160-hp Perkins diesel was standard in the Mainship 34 II. Shell cruise easily around 11 knots (burning just 6 gph) and reach a top speed of 14 knots.
